Company Profile

Comage Container Lines is a non vessel operating common carrier (NVOCC) with over two decades of international experience in worldwide shipping and value added services.

Traditionally operating from the U.K. through its own vessels and conference lines, Comage is now headquartered in North America with a full services presence across the globe, bringing total solutions capabilities right to your doorstep!

Comage’s solutions are designed to provide you with the convenience and peace of mind of the whole range of shipping, transportation and logistics services, facilitated through its forwarding offices worldwide.

Most importantly, Comage believes in customizing solutions to suit client needs, and invests in infrastructure and resources to facilitate and nurture long term partnerships. Our consultative approach allows complete transparency in costs and solutions, and we focus on taking away the inherent complexities of the environment, thereby enabling our clients to concentrate on their core processes.

As a non-vessel operating common carrier or NVOCC, Comage Container Lines offers distinct advantages for customers. Comage provides the full range of supply chain services anywhere in the world. By assigning transportation and shipping to Comage, customers can concentrate on their core businesses and be assured of efficient, timely and professional services in either receiving goods or getting their goods to market.

NVOCC vs. VOCC

A VOCC would typically operate anywhere between 40 to 80% of its own fleet on its various routes worldwide, with the remaining percentage of its routes being shared on other carrier’s vessels. As an NVOCC, Comage does not own or operate any fleets. Instead, it shares 100 per cent of fleet requirements with marine transportation companies and other common carriers. As such, an NVOCC can focus on the full range of customer services and ensure sustainable supply chains without any glitches through a choice of multiple carriers.

Same Rights and Strengths

An NVOCC has similar rights, responsibilities and privileges as a VOCC under international maritime laws. Comage holds global contracts with VOCCs and offers its customers the same strengths, advantages and opportunities as a vessel operating common carrier. As an international NVOCC – registered, licensed and insured with consequent peace of mind for customers – Comage provides global capabilities and worldwide connections, and has extensive fleet operating experience, without the burden of operating a physical fleet of vessels.

Major Benefits for Customers

An NVOCC offers distinct advantages for customers. For example, Comage covers virtually every facet of the supply chain, ensuring timely, efficient and professional services: door-to-door or port-to-port.

From bills of lading, insurance and customs clearance, to transportation logistics and warehousing, Comage offers considerable value to each of its services. As well, Comage provides customers free insurance claim services through a sister company, till satisfactory conclusion of the claim.
